Kristian holds a Master of Arts in Historical Studies (2024) and a Bachelor of Arts in History with an Honors Specialization and a Minor in English (2022) from Nipissing University. Throughout his academic journey, Kristian demonstrated his passion for history and cultural heritage through comprehensive research, impactful presentations, and hands-on archaeological fieldwork and heritage site assessments.

As a Cultural Heritage Technician at Matrix Heritage, Kristian contributes to cultural heritage studies and assessments, supporting development projects, public heritage programs, and municipal heritage initiatives. His role involves conducting and summarizing archival research, undertaking on-site inspections, and preparing various reports, including Cultural Heritage Evaluation Reports (CHERs) and Heritage Impact Assessments (HIAs). His keen research skills and ability to communicate complex ideas to the public are vital to these projects.

Kristian's experience as an Archaeological Field Technician at Matrix Heritage involved conducting Stage 2 to Stage 4 archaeological fieldwork around Ottawa and the Ottawa Valley. He demonstrated resilience and adaptability while working in diverse conditions, contributing effectively to team operations and project timelines.

In his role Indigenous Engagement Coordinator, Kristian plays a crucial role in building and nurturing relationships with Indigenous communities. He ensures open communication and collaboration, respecting and integrating Indigenous voices in projects. By organizing inclusive engagement, Kristian fosters trust and partnership, promoting mutual understanding and cultural preservation.
