Em Miller is a Field Director with Matrix Heritage and has five years of professional experience in terrestrial archaeology. During their four years at Saint Mary’s University, they worked on community outreach projects for various historical societies and community members, using remote sensing and mapping techniques to identify pre-contact landscapes, 18th century settlements, and 19th century grave sites.

 

 

As a trained field director, Em has worked on and directed various terrestrial projects in different eras and environments. This includes stage two pedestrian and test-pitting surveys, stage three test excavations, and stage four mechanical and block excavations.
